ETF's

If you are not familiar with Exchange traded funds (ETF's) then you should be. They are closest to a mutual fund. While mutual funds are several stocks of several different investors at the desrection of a fund manager, ETF's are pre-set that are bought and sold just as an individual stock. This allows investors to buy and sell more than just the closing net asset value that you get with a mutual fund. Thee instruments also allow you to take advantage of sectors. Fidelity funds have had sectors for many years, yet you could only trade a few times with out penalties.

With the advent of the ETF, this investor feels it is not important to trade individual stocks any more. Of course there are those that feel they must. But for us, we will follow a set course that has far outpaced the major indices.

We take weekly signals to move into the hottest sectors while trying to avoid the "dog" sectors, thus enhancing our performance.

We have no signals at this time so we are staying in cash (which by the way is a positions). We look to get into the Latin markets in the not too far distant future ETF's such as EWZ, ILF, to name a few.

Keep coming back weekly to update our picks.
